./introduction

Caught in the hollers, echoed from bluffs, lost in winds at the peaks, only to be found fading softly into the valleys…the sounds made in these mountains are eternal. The artists featured on this disc perform, write and record with the sounds whispering like ancient secrets in their heads, in their lives and in their music.

There is enormous talent and too many manifestations of it to pretend it has all been captured here. This collaboration represents what is currently happening in Northwest Arkansas' eclectic music scene.

We all come together in support of a great cause, both socially and musically.

./thank you

We sincerely thank every person who had anything to do with this compilation: the bands, the fans, the clubs, Dickson Street itself. Dwight Chalmers, Todd Gill, Chris Selby, Clunk Records, Daniel Hintz, Clear Channel Radio, Sound Warehouse, The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Fayetteville Arts Festival, The Listen Laboratory. And, to all the good folks at First Security Bank, specifically Rob Bell, Charlie Porter, Annette Walls, Isaac Alexander, Eric Lancaster, Scott Brady, Jim Watson, and last but not least, Jim Taylor and David Russell for saying "yes!" Here's to live music…local music…and, of course, the always gracious host Fayetteville, AR.
